“Mystery Quilting” Getaways at Purity Spring

Join us for our quilting retreat at Purity Spring Resort in East Madison, New Hampshire.

Escape to the White Mountains of New Hampshire for a fantastic quilting getaway! Event leaders Laurel Wilber and Madonna Terlizzi have created a unique approach to quilting; a pattern that reveals itself as you piece the quilt.
Whatever your age or skill level, you’ll have a great time! Once you sign up, you’ll receive a detailed supply list of what to bring but, the pattern is a mystery which reveals itself as it’s put together! Through the weekend, you’ll be guided step-by-step to a beautiful finished quilt.

A variety of workshops will be offered over the course of the weekend and a large supply of fabrics and supplies will be available for sale during the weekend.
Bring a sewing friend or two and sign up for a fun and relaxing quilting getaway in the beautiful White Mountains!

About Our Store

Fabric Stash, Inc.
45 Sturbridge Road
Charlton, MA. 01507

Nestled in beautiful Charlton, MA, sits a gem we call The Fabric Stash, a treasure to hundreds of fabric enthusiasts. The Stash is a literal haven of fabric. Any fabric variety you can imagine, you can discover here. Conveniently located at 45A Sturbridge Road (Rte 20) in Charlton, MA, (just five minutes east of the Mass Pike), in a historic textile mill.

Shop proprietor, Laurel Wilber has taught quilting to adults and children since 1978. Wilber is a well-versed sewing and quilting guru, who dreamed of opening her own fabric store for years, and in 1997 her dream became a reality with the opening of The Fabric Stash Inc. Over the last 13 years, she has been slowly constructing the store into a now splendid fabric refuge. In addition to her dream store, she has successfully run a quilt retreat in scenic East Madison New Hampshire for the past six years. The retreat allows quilters a chance to sew and socialize.

The Fabric Stash is not just a quilting fabric store, it is the only independently owned and operated fabric store in Worcester County; that has everything including Home Decor, knitting supplies, clothing fabrics, notions, buttons, books and an array of classes. Wilber has built a tremendous team including talented in-house long-arm quilter and seamstress, Brenda Desourdy; award winning fashion designer, Eddi Phillips; custom window treatment designer, Susan Carreau; expert knitter, Marie Jardine.

Classes range from clothing fitting and assembling, to various levels of quilting and home décor instruction, as well as open sew where patrons can bring any project they wish to work on and get assistance from their friendly, expert staff. Take a moment to visit their website at fabstash.com and subscribe to the “Go-Green” monthly newsletter via e-mail. Browse around the site for class listings and other store related information. Also, find information on the NH retreat and learn about their “Go-Green” Bag Sale, where you can save 20% on the first Saturday of every month.

The Fabric Stash is overall the kind of place that makes you feel at home the minute you walk in the door, and best yet, you can rest assured that your money is going to a local business with a lot of heart.
