Beauty Haunts

Eddi had always had his dream of designing, but got a late start. Like many, he was sidetracked by an easy path and a steady paycheck in the business world. But a yearning followed him throughout the years. A longing to do what he loved, but had always been afraid to do. Until one day in 2004, after 15 years in the financial services and investment industry, he realized the paychecks left him empty and were no longer enough to keep his creative desires from overwhelming him. His passions – the arts, design, fashion, and beauty – were missing in his life for so long that he couldn’t resist them anymore. He took a leap of faith, immediately quit his job and was enrolled in the School of Fashion Design the very next day. For Eddi, life is a little more challenging these days, but a lot more joyous!

Beauty Inspires

Eddi’s fervent love of woman’s fashion has been a part of his life for as long as he can remember. His earliest influences came from the women in his family; his grandmother, mother and two older sisters. All these women recognized Eddi’s talents and fostered an encouraging environment where he could flourish creatively. His mother was an avid sewer who made dresses for his sisters, as well as herself. As a youngster, when Eddi could, he would get in on the action and help make doll clothes for his sisters. Eddi’s mom was his first fashion instructor. But the most profound influence came from his grandmother. She was a graceful, elegant woman with a strong spirit and warm heart. She wasn’t a fashion plate chasing the next fabulous creation from the Couture houses of her day, but she never failed to make even the simplest of dresses looked refined and elegant. From her, Eddi learned that every woman is beautiful and deserves to show it.

Beauty Grows

Since beginning his new journey, Eddi has set out to make beautiful clothing that is an existential expression of the client. He sees each new garment as an achievement; each piece as a step forward. He is quickly developing a reputation for creating beautiful garments with unparalleled construction and quality and is reaching discerning women who appreciate these fine elements and have the confidence that he can deliver.

Laurel will be teaching a workshop on Trip Around The World in one day quilt.

You will need 3/4 yard of 6 non-directional fabrics.
I suggest 3 darker, 3 light, or a progression of shades of a color, or 3 prints and 3 tone on tone that coordinate with the prints.

When you are purchasing your fabric you only need 3/4 yard, so if you buy more you will need to cut it down to 27″. (3/4 yd.)

Laurel will provide the pattern + instructions.

You will also need 2 1/8 yards for a border if you want one.
